Los Angeles Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford is a brilliant passer, and that brilliance was on full display during the team’s game against the Detroit Lions on Sunday. Stafford, an MVP candidate, was putting together another impressive game when he had a throw so good that it made legendary quarterback Tom Brady turn to an interesting phrase to describe the pass.

During the third quarter of the game, Stafford ripped a beautiful 21-yard pass to Davante Adams. While breaking down the impressive pass, Brady said, “It’s not a no look, just an absolute piss missile.” Immediately after finishing his statement, there was a realization in the broadcast booth that Brady just used the phrase “piss missile” on live TV, because he and Kevin Burkhardt both laughed.

Fans quickly took to social media to laugh as well, with many asking did Tom Brady really just say that on television. The informal term is frequently used by sports fans, especially in baseball, but it’s typically reserved for social spaces, not for TV broadcasts. Sometimes, though, you just see a play so good that you can’t help yourself; that was clearly the case for Brady on Sunday.

Matt Stafford has been putting amazing throws like that on tape throughout his entire career, and he has been especially elite this season. Entering Sunday’s game, the veteran quarterback competed 66.7% of his passes for 3,354 yards, 35 touchdowns, and just four interceptions. Additionally, the team was 10-3, with a chance to be the top seed in the NFC.

On Sunday, the veteran quarterback just added to those numbers, throwing for over 360 yards, two touchdowns, and one interception. Additionally, the elite Rams offense put more than 40 points on the board for the third time this season.
