The Los Angeles Rams are 0-2 in the NFC despite carrying a 3-2 record into Week 6. But they've lost to two improved teams this season. Both losses come at the hands of the 4-1 Philadelphia Eagles and the 4-1 San Francisco 49ers.

Is there any solace to losing to two of the better NFL teams this season?

But as is to be expected, the Niners' Week 5 victory is just the spark to what will become an inferno of shade, vitriol, and prodding by San Francisco players and fans that may burn for weeks.

That's why this is a bitter NFL rivalry.

Need an example? In the aftermath of their Thursday Night Football victory, 49ers cornerback Deommodore Lenoir tossed shade at running back Kyren Williams after his crucial fumble.

Some players let bygones be bygones. But when it comes to the Niners, they seem to hold on like a dog to a bone.

And Lenoir's willingness to call out LA's leading rusher is just the latest example of a feud that has continued for years.

Why did Deommodore Lenoir call out Kyren Williams?

This feud was sparked when the running back ran the football into the end zone for a second-quarter touchdown. During the play, video footage seemed to confirm what Lenoir claimed: Williams pointed his way as he rumbled in.

"He's got a fat mouth. He shouldn't have been talking. He pointed at me when he scored. "

Was it a big deal? Probably not. But keep in mind that one of the primary missions of the NFL is sports entertainment, so there will always be an element of pageantry, showmanship, and dramatic flair involved. Those actions sell tickets and merchandise while teasing NFL fans' curiosity as to what may happen the next time these two teams meet.

Meanwhile, keep in mind that bitter opponents now may become friendly teammates tomorrow.

These two teams compete for the same goal: winning the NFC West. And either LA or SF comes out on top since 2017. But it's never about the healthiest team, nor the hottest team. As we know, the 49ers seem to get up to face the Horns when their chips are down. Right now, it's their turn to roar. But there are plenty of games to play, and these two team meet again soon.

In the next game, all NFL eyes will turn to see what happens next.

As always, thanks for reading.
