Forget what you think you know about the 11-4 Los Angeles Rams. While the team has struggled a bit over the past four weeks to a 2-2 record, this is a team that has never had horrific tape. Even as the team coughed up multiple turnovers against the 8-8 Carolina Panthers, the final score was only 31-28.

Los Angeles faces the 6-9 Atlanta Falcons on Monday Night Football. Rather than push starters to play, the team is willing to take the football field without three starting offensive linemen, two starting receivers, and multiple starting defensive backs.

When this team is at full health, it can defeat anyone. And ESPN broadcaster Troy Aikman will attest to that fact.

"They very well could be the best team in football. They are that loaded"

The fact that the team is willing to sit so many contributors is due to the belief that if the team can get healthy, it can compete in Super Bowl LX. The trick is resting starters, while still playing competitive football.

"Rams could very well be the best team in football"

Los Angeles has plummeted to the wild-card bracket of the upcoming NFL playoffs. Still, that is not as unfortunate as you may think. After all, the outcome of Weeks 17 and 18 will have only minimal impact on the team's playoff seeding. And that allows the coaching staff to selectively sit out any key players who are fighting off minor injuries.

Barring any new injuries, the team reasonably expects all players to suit up in the postseason.

That makes all the difference in the world. Neither the Seattle Seahawks nor the San Francisco 49ers will have the opportunity to sit players in Week 18. So at least one of those two teams will be hard-pressed to suit up every player in the postseason.

As long as the team remains on track to get everyone healthy for the playoffs, Aikman is spot on. But there are two games to play, and the team has to play competitive football. For now, no NFL team wishes to face the LA Rams in the NFL playoffs. Don't take my word for it. But you can trust Troy Aikman.

As always, thanks for reading.
