It may be premature to lump these LA Rams among the NFC teams that are on the hunt for a top-seven seeding for the 2025 NFL Playoffs, but with a 4-1 post BYE run, let's not stand on ceremony. After all, despite being a herky-jerky trek to a 5-5 record, these Rams have been consistently improving in all aspects of their game.

Of course, this team did not start out with respectable statistics. The defense struggled in those early games, And as the defense began to improve, the offense began to sputter. But now, as the Rams enter Week 12, the offense and defense are not only improving, but they are complementing one another with their synergy now.

The Rams may not top the NFL in either offense or defense statistically like their Week 12 opponent, the Philadelphia Eagles. But this is an energetic defense, a crafty offense, and a special teams unit that will surprise you. But no matter what this team has done before, the entire Rams roster has to bring their A-game to handle this Eagles team.

But not all is hunky-dory for the Eagles, despite a six-game winning streak. Eagles fans are concerned over the fact that starting QB Jalen Hurts has not thrown for 250+ yards since a victory over the Cleveland Browns on October 13, 2024. And Hurts has been sacked 10 times over the past three games. Passionate Eagles fans want to see a huge game from their quarterback this week, and the fact that the Rams' secondary has surrendered season-high performances this year has only served to set their appetite for a big game out of their quarterback at center stage.

In some ways, the Rams sandwiched between the Washington Commanders (7-4) and the Baltimore Ravens (7-4) could be a trap game for the Eagles. The LA Rams do not see the visiting Eagles with anything but the utmost respect.

Announcers for Eagles vs Rams

  • Lead Play-by-Play Announcer: Mike Tirico
  • Color Commentator: Chris Collisworth
  • Sideline Reporter: Melissa Stark

The trio of Mike Tirico, Chris Collinsworth, and Melissa Stark will handle the announcing, color commentary, and sideline interviews on Sunday Night Football's coverage in Week 12.

This is the second Sunday Night Football game for the LA Rams. They opened the season in Week 1 against the NFC's best team, the Detroit Lions. The Rams lost that game by a score of 26-20. Unfortunately, that game was played on the road, as was the first loss of a difficult stretch for the team to open the 2024 NFL season.

The game will be exclusively streamed on Peacock. While Peacock requires a subscription to livestream the game, it is compatible with almost every device.

Referees for Eagles vs. Rams

Head Referee: Land Clark

This is Land Clark's fifth NFL season as a referee. He and his crew have not called a game with the LA Rams yet in 2024. Here is his full crew:

Full officiating crew

  • Head Referee: Land Clark
  • Umpire: Paul King
  • Down Judge: Tom Stephan
  • Line Judge: Jeff Hutcheon
  • Field Judge: Jabir Walker
  • Side Judge: Dominique Pender
  • Back Judge: Brad Freeman
  • Replay Official: Bob Hubble
  • Replay Assistant: Jim Van Geffen

If you prefer to have a game decided by the players and not the NFL officials, you may be in luck. This season, Land Clark's crew has been a bit less active than the average NFL Crew. Per the statistics maintained by Pro Football Focus, Clark's crew averages 11.8 penalties per game and 90.5 yards per game. The league average in 2024 for penalties is 12.73 penalties per game and 101.92 penalty yards per game. Rams fans will appreciate the fact that Clark's crew penalizes the home team less than the visiting team, as well as less than the league average.

If you can't catch the game by streaming or television broadcast, you can still catch it on the radio. Here's how to listen to the Rams' game on the radio in Week 11.
