#1 Isaac Bruce WR

Drafted: 1994: Round 2, Pick 33 –Funny Brett Favre was picked here in 1991

Isaac Bruce is the best Drafted player the Rams picked. He was noticeable at high school but not enough in college. College has a way different playbook then spread offense. Maybe the worse receiver can become the best on a team; Marques Colston. Isaac was way better though. He transferred through 3 schools and still was a first pick in a round; Cameron Newton. What made Isaac different is…

Isaac came in 1994 with a small contract, but big potential. He made his first touchdown in Atlanta, which started “Bruuuce”. He only made 200+ yards that season. Which most members in “Greatest Show on Turf” did, Isaac set off his explosives his sophomore year. He made 1781 yards, second to No. 1 player of all time Jerry Rice. Rams fans knew he wasn’t a bust. Especially in St. Louis ,He moved to the gateway to the west. And we still couldn’t find the keys, when it was right there; Kurt Warner. Isaac and Kurt put the fun in N”F”L. With the fastest offensive passes you would ever see. Isaac and Torry showboated while in full speed.

After being cheated from a title in 2001, fans watched as the show ended. Numbers started to fall and records to, fall badly. They went 7-9 in 2002, and Kurt Warner started to get hurt. The show was just in a commercial break. But a star was fading; Kurt Warner was traded in 2004. People were furious with the organization but this is a business. So with Warner gone everyone thought things would get worse. Which Marc Bulger healed it. Fans started to look over Warner and look at Bulger. Even at New York Warner was looked over for Eli Manning.  Isaac was back making 1200k yards and 6 touchdowns, and 89 receptions. Then another commercial came for the show and never came back.

In 2008, Isaac was traded to the 49ers. Torry was way worse and they gave him away?! Isaac left but came back on the other side of the field to make his 1000th reception. The show still was playing and it finally ended in 2010 with Torry Holt’s and Kurt Warner’s retirements.

But the show has a sequel! It still has the same name. But a new motto, “We will rally around Sam Bradford and play good football”. The show hasn’t started yet but its building. Sam Bradford, Danny Amendola, Mark Clayton, Michael Hoomanawaneui*, are all in it already. I hope “HooHoo” stay healthy and Mark comes back also stay healthy. I know this is about Isaac but we need to look into the future now.
