I said last night that once the Rams got the ball rolling on signing draft picks that they would liely start coming in bunches, and it looks like that has turned out to be the case. The team has reportedly inked seventh-round RB Daryl Richardson and fifth-round OG Rokevious Watkins to rookie deals. This comes on the heels of the team signing Aaron Brown and Chris Givens the previous day.
Richardson has reportedly been impressive in workouts thus far, and he will be looking to play his way into the team’s running back group along with Isaiah Pead and Steven Jackson. Watkins will have a chance to battle for a starting spot at guard during camp, and I think he could realistically see a ton of playing time as a rookie. I haven’t gotten to see Watkins live yet, but I really like what I see on tape.
