Los Angeles Rumors Could Pose Difficulties In Free Agency For The St. Louis Rams

Relocation has been a hot topic for the St. Louis Rams this season. While they are the St. Louis Rams for now, by 2016 it is possible that they could be the Los Angeles Rams. With all of the rumors surrounding the Rams and Los Angeles and free agency coming up, it could pose a difficult challenge.

Les Snead and Jeff Fisher will be faced with the challenge of convincing players knowing full well the facility they show them may not be the facility they’ll use in 2016. Something that wont be an easy sell.

When it comes to signing free agents, money is usually number one, the coach number two, and then the success of the team they’re signing with right behind that. However, right behind that has to be the stability of the team and right now that is something the Rams just dont have.

If the Rams had a stadium in place to be built in St. Louis, that would be something to lure in prospective players. Playing in a brand new stadium is attractive. Moving a family to one location for one year and then having to move 2,000 miles to a different city is not.

While Los Angeles could be more attractive opposed to St. Louis for younger, single players, and the Johnny Manziel‘s of the world, but what about married players, children that go to school? Do they want to pull the kids in and out of school if the team’s here in 2015 and then leaves in another year or two?

That is something that free agents are going to have to think about before they sign a contract. They may be signing to be a St. Louis Ram, but by next season, they may have to pack up their things and move again, but this time they aren’t playing for a different team.

It is yet to be seen how much of an effect the rumors of the Rams moving to Los Angeles will have or how much of a distraction it will be on the team. However, it’s only a matter of time before we find out, and if it will, it will start with free agency.
