Who is the best player on the St. Louis Rams?

When you think of the current St. Louis Rams roster, who is the player that comes to mind first? The first player doesn’t always mean they are the best, but in most cases it is.

I personally think of Nick Foles when I think of this current Rams team, but is Foles the best overall player on the team? I don’t think so, but he has a case for the pick.

Last year, it would have been an easy choice. Robert Quinn would have been my pick, and most likely would have been 90 percent of everyone else’s pick as well.

But like Foles, is Quinn the best player on this roster? Yes he is.

You could also make a case for punter Johnny Hekker, but isn’t it a bit embarrassing for the best player on your entire roster to be your punter? Because I do. So for that reason, Quinn gets the nod.

Quinn has 45 career sacks since coming into the NFL in 2011, including 19 sacks in 2013. In that time span since 2013, Quinn leads the NFL in forced fumbles and is second in the NFL with 29.5 sacks.

In his four-year career he has two pro bowl appearances including each of the past two years and likely has a lot of pro bowls in his future as well.

While the Rams have several players with the potential to be the best player on this St. Louis team, Quinn is the best at the moment. Players to watch for are as following.

1) Nick Foles

2) Todd Gurley

3) Aaron Donald

These are the three most obvious players that could be the best overall player on this roster. Gurley and Donald are both too young to put as the best, while Foles has to prove himself in a new city. But, if Foles does what he did with the Philadelphia Eagles in 2013, then Foles will take over as the best player on the Rams this time next year.

What do you guys think? Is Quinn the best player on this team?
