Former Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Deon Long was cut from the team during training camp and Hard Knocks showed fans the reason why.

If there’s anything to take away from the first episode of Hard Knocks with the Los Angeles Rams, it should be players better listen to Jeff Fisher when he hands out a set of rules. Unfortunately for Deon Long, the former Rams wideout learned the hard way and was forced to find new work with a different team.

During Tuesday’s episode of Hard Knocks, Fisher made it clear to his team how he would not allow any guests in the dorm rooms at UC Irvine–where the team is staying for training camp. Fisher even made a joke about how the last thing these players need to deal with is making an overnight guest that results in having a three-month old kid watching from the sidelines at this point next year.

Apparently–Long didn’t take the memo seriously enough.

Fisher sat down with Long to discuss a female “guest” that stopped by the wide receiver’s dorm and even though Long claimed that she was only dropping something off, the Rams head coach still wasn’t happy about it. Even if this was a minor issue, Fisher made it clear his rules weren’t made to be broken and wasted no time cutting Long on the spot.
