The LA Rams have certainly improved from one season ago, and the NFL schedulers have taken notice. Last year, the Rams faced four opponents who were coming off their BYE weeks. Making matters worse, the Rams were scheduled for just one Prime-Time game.

My, how things have changed over the course of one year's time.

If you want a full game-by-game prediction for the LA Rams, that article was published 30 minutes after the official schedule was released. Thanks to leaks and advanced notice of which teams the Rams would face, much of the heavy lifting could be done long before the 2024 NFL schedule was released.

Now, we are looking for friction spots in the Rams schedule that is less about who the team plays and more about when the team plays.

What can we tell about the Rams schedule at first glance?

The schedule is not too foreboding at first glance. The team opens the season with two road games, but does not play their fourth road game until Week 9, when the Rams must travel to face the Seattle Seahawks.

When is the Rams BYE week?

The LA Rams will get an early BYE this season, and it will occur in Week 6.

What is the longest streak of road games for the Rams?

The Rams open the season with two consecutive road games in Weeks 1 and 2 (versus the Detroit Lions and the Arizona Cardinals, respectively). The team has another two week road trip in Weeks 15 and 16, as the team travels to face the San Francisco 49ers and the New York Jets respectively.

What is the longest home stretch for the Rams?

The LA Rams get a month of no travel, playing at home at SoFi Stadium in Weeks 5, 7, and 8. The Rams will spilt the home stand with a Week 6 BYE. The Rams host the Green Bay Packers in Week 5, the Las Vegas Raiders in Week 7, and close out the homestand against the Minnesota Vikings on Thursday Night Football in Week 8.

How many opponents to the Rams face this year off their BYE?

Unlike last season, when the team faced four opponents after their BYE week, the Rams only face one opponent after a BYE week. They are the New Orleans Saints in Week 13, which is a road game for the Rams.

As always, thanks for reading.
