Los Angeles Rams head coach Jeff Fisher explained why he benched Greg Robinson for the Week 12 game against the New Orleans Saints.

Los Angeles Rams left tackle Greg Robinson get benched in Week 12 and head coach Jeff Fisher explained his reasoning behind the move after the blowout loss to the New Orleans Saints.

Robinson was a surprise inactive prior to Sunday’s game and it was clear he was being benched. The former No. 2 overall pick has been underperforming all year and racking up penalties in bunches, with more than any other player in the NFL over the past two seasons.

Fisher cited some of these things when asked about it, per Rams Insider Myles Simmons:

Robinson hasn’t helped himself with his behavior off the field, either.

The 24-year-old has been acting erratically with the media recently. On Wednesday he ignored reporters altogether, and on Friday he had short answers for every question asked.

The Rams may have no choice but to put Robinson back in the lineup. The guy taking his spot, Rodger Saffold, was forced from the game early with a hand injury.
