Todd Gurley decided to call out a fan on Twitter over fantasy football after the Los Angeles Rams lost their Week 15 battle against the Seattle Seahawks.

After taking home Rookie of the Year honors in 2015, expectations were high for Los Angeles Rams running back Todd Gurley heading into his sophomore season. In fact, may believed Gurley was talented enough to be in consideration for taking home this year’s rushing title, but that’s obviously not going to happen when seeing how much he and the rest of the offense have struggled.

Thursday’s 24-3 loss to the Seattle Seahawks was just another example of how much of a disappointment this year has been for Gurley and the Rams after the running back was held to just 38 rushing yards on 14 carries. What’s even more frustrating is 22 of those yards came on one run alone, meaning 13 of Gurley’s carries went for a total of 16 yards.

From a fantasy football perspective, owners with Gurley on their roster haven’t been shy when it comes to expressing their frustration over the Los Angeles running back as he was selected in the first round of most leagues, even though deep down he doesn’t really care for anyone’s team. Not long after the conclusion of Thursday’s game, one fantasy football fan decided to take to social media to tell Gurley exactly how he felt about his disappointing 2016 season, which obviously would end up backfiring.

At the end of the day, fans have to realize that fantasy football is just for fun and there’s no reason to call out players over their performances if they fail to live up to expectations. If anything, Gurley deserves some benefit of the doubt when looking at all of the issues with the Rams’ offense, especially when it comes to the offensive line.

Either way, this was still a hilarious response by Gurley as the running back couldn’t have come up with a better response.
