Brian Quick joins the Washington Redskins after spending the last five years of his career as a member of the Los Angeles Rams.

Over the last few years, the Los Angeles Rams had given Brian Quick every opportunity in the world to prove himself as an effective wide receiver, which was one of the reasons why the team was willing to give him a one-year deal last March with the hope he would live up to the hype. Despite a few impressive performances from the 2016 season, the Rams entered the offseason knowing it was time to move on from the wide receiver, and now it looks like Quick has found a new home with Sean McVay‘s former squad, the Washington Redskins.

According to the NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, Quick has agreed to terms with the Redskins, although the details of the deal are still unknown. Washing found themselves in desperate need of help at wide receiver after losing DeSean Jackson (Tampa Bay Buccaneers) and Pierre Garcon (San Francisco 49ers) to free agency, but don’t expect Quick to even come close to matching their type of numbers.

Then again, maybe Quick will finally start living up to his potential now that he’s going have one of the league’s top quarterbacks the NFL has to offer in Kirk Cousins throwing him the football. From Quick’s perspective, the Rams didn’t really do that great of a job with providing him the best options to work with at quarterback, and it will be interesting to see how he performs during his first year with the Redskins.

In his final season with the Rams, Quick set a career high with 41 catches for 564 yards, while matching his career high of three touchdowns. Of course, two of those scores came during Quick’s best performance from the 2016 season in Week 4 against the Arizona Cardinals, one of which came on an impressive 65-yard touchdown from Case Keenum.
