The Los Angeles Rams continue to keep themselves busy after the conclusion of the 2017 NFL Draft.
Despite some of the negative backlash from experts across the country, the Los Angeles Rams may actually have reasons to be excited about the upcoming season after using the 2017 NFL Draft to add a few extra weapons for Jared Goff to work with on offense. Between Cooper Kupp and Josh Reynolds, there’s no reason why Goff and the Rams shouldn’t be able to improve from last year’s 14 points per game they averaged on offense to possibly contend in the NFC West.

Of course, with all of these new additions from the draft and undrafted free agents, Los Angeles found themselves in a position that is quite popular this time of year when it comes to making a few changes to make some room on the roster. Over the next few months, the Rams will continue to slim down their roster as they inch closer to the deadline for the 53-man roster, but for now here’s the latest list of players waived by the team on Wednesday.
Rams have also waived four players:

DB Jerome Couplin
LS Andrew East
RB Brandon Wegher
TE Bryce Williams
Los Angeles may have made some room on the roster by waiving these four players, but as noted above, they also added another player from the division with former San Francisco 49ers nose tackle Mike Purcell. The former Wyoming star has appeared in 25 games over the last three years with the 49ers, 15 of which came during the 2016 season, and it will be interesting to see the type of impact Purcell makes over the next few months with his new team in the Rams.

Who would have thought after only winning four games all of last season, there would actually be some excitement surrounding Los Angeles heading into the 2017 season now that Sean McVay is on board as head coach. There’s no question the only chance of the Rams reaching the next level will come down to where Goff stands in his development process, but at least the former No. 1 pick seems to be moving in the right direction under the new coaching staff.
