St. Louis Rams RB Todd Gurley will have another standout game Sunday

The St. Louis Rams knew exactly what kind of player they were getting their hands on when they drafted running back Todd Gurley 10th overall in the past NFL Draft, and he has done nothing but impress. Gurley has a total of 305 yards through the past two games. That is what you call production and prepare for more of the same come Sunday.

Gurley is a very powerful runner and explodes at the point of attack. When he is moving downhill, there isn’t a person in the NFL that can tackle him one on one. The Rams have a different dimension added to their offense because of the presence Gurley brings. There isn’t a team that can contain him, they are only trying to limit him. With the Cleveland Browns in town this sunday, expect Gurley’s best game yet.

More from Rams News

The Browns currently rank dead last in the NFL in rushing yards per game at 149.8 yards per game. They have to be worried about playing the Rams and especially because they have Gurley in the backfield. Gurley is averaging over 150 yards rushing a game and he did that against the likes of the Green Bay Packers, (who rank 24th in rushing defense) and the Pittsburgh Steelers, (who rank 7th in rushing defense). Everything is lining up for Gurley to have a monster game Sunday and it wouldn’t surprise anyone if he has 200+ rushing yards. If Gurley gets the ball over 25 times Sunday, there isn’t much that will stop him from trying to get to that mark.

Expect this to help the offense as a whole also. Nick Foles and the passing game will definitely benefit from Gurley. He will be able to keep the defense on their toes and keep more people in the box to defend against him, which will leave lanes and windows for the passing game to get rolling. This will help the defense also by keeping them off the field and keeping them fresh. Just by watching the Rams you can tell that the defense has been on the field more than they should, whether it be turnovers or 3 and outs, this is a game where they will definitely be kept off the field and be ready whenever they’re called upon.

We all know now just how good Gurley is and will be. This is a match up made in heaven for the star rookie running back. There isn’t going to be a lot that keeps him from having a monster game. If the offense can substain drives and move the ball it will probably have a lot to do with Gurley. Playing against the worst rushing defense in the NFL everybody can expect a big time performance from Gurley. We will be very optimistic here and predict that Gurley will have 205 yards rushing and 2 rushing touchdowns. If you have him on your fantasy team, you might as well make room for him this Sunday because there is no way Gurley will have a bad game against the Browns.
