1999 NFL Draft: WR Torry Holt

Mandatory Credit: Tommy Gilligan-USA TODAY Sports

With the sixth overall pick of the 1999 NFL Draft, the St. Louis Rams picked one of the most prolific wide receivers the organization would ever see.  Holt would have an immediate impact for the Rams, as he would become a focal point of one of the most mystifying offenses the NFL would ever see.  In addition to being a part of “The Greatest Show on Turf”, Holt played an integral role in helping win the 1999 Super Bowl for the St. Louis Rams.

Holt had an incredible Super Bowl, catching seven passes for 107 yards. Holt went on to have a ten year career in the NFL, nine of which were with the St. Louis Rams.  Arguably, Holt is one of the best draft picks in not only Rams history, but NFL history, period.  In total, Holt amassed 13,382 receiving yards and caught 74 touchdowns in his illustrious career.  Holt will be remembered as one of the all-time greats to ever wear a St. Louis Rams uniform.  Thanks for the memories, Torry!
