St. Louis Rams offense coming to life as they lead 21-3 at halftime
By Alex Alarcon
Maybe the St. Louis Rams should wear their new color rush jerseys every game if they are going to continue to play at this level. St. Louis is hoping to end their season on a good note as they can still finish off the season 8-8 on the year. On the other side, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers are hoping to get back in the playoff picture with a crucial win on the road.

The first half was filled with excellent defense and offensive plays from the Rams, as they could have played their best first quarter all season long. St. Louis opened the game, with a very successful kick return from Benny Cunningham, as the Rams started the game on the 43 yard line. The Rams would put together a very well play call drive that would end with six points.
Quarterback Case Keenum would find Tavon Austin on a screen 17 yards out as Austin would go into the end zone for the first points of the day. Keenum looked very comfortable, as he would continue to throw the ball.
After Tampa Bay would connect on a 53 yard field goal, Keenum would attack the Bucs rookie secondary. Keenum and Kenny Britt would connect on a double move, which led to a 60 yard touchdown play. The Rams would end the first quarter with a dominant performance and a 14-3 lead. Besides Keenum loving the spotlight, Aaron Donald would pressure Jameis Winston the whole first half. Donald got into the backfield several plays and would cause chaos for the Bucs offense.

With the Rams putting on a show at their final home game of the season, the Buccaneers had to answer. Tampa Bay would put together a couple of good runs from running back Doug Martin as the Bucs were in Rams territory for the first time. On a 3rd and 6, Winston would scramble out for a gain of five yards and would be short of the 1st down. With the Bucs having trouble getting the offense going, Coach lovie Smith elected to go for it. On 4th and 1, Aaron Donald would bull rush through the offensive line and stop Martin behind the line.
With the Rams defense playing lights out, the offense continued to destroy Tampa Bay’s defense. Is the Rams new offensive coordinator bringing some life to this St. Louis Rams team? With Keenum getting the calls the first couple of drives, Fisher looked towards running back Todd Gurley to give the Rams an even bigger halftime lead. St. Louis would put another touchdown drive together, this time a nine play, five-minute drive. Anytime a team can control the clock and score, it’s going to be a very succesful day of football. Gurley would get his first touchdown of the game, as he would score on a three yard run up the middle. St. Louis would now lead 21-3, and it was all Rams football the first half.
The score would stay the same, as the St. Louis Rams (Team Mustard) would have a 21-3 lead against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. (Team Ketchup)
