The St. Louis Rams are moving back to Los Angeles and the San Diego Chargers might be joining them. Reports have come out via social media as fans around the world are waiting for the final vote. The Inglewood project has passed as the Rams are moving back to Los Angeles.
After 21 seasons in St. Louis, the Rams have been given approval among NFL owners to relocate back to Los Angeles, their prior home from 1946-1994. Rams owner Stan Kroenke has gotten approval from the NFL Owners as his Inglewood project seemed the best. Early Tuesday, the Rams proposal of going to Inglewood by themselves was pulled as that was not going to get approved.
Looks as if Kroenke along with a negotiated partnership with Chargers Chairman/President Dean Spanos ultimately won the support of NFL Owners. The stadium is reportedly available to be completed in time for the 2019 season. There has been talks as the Inglewood stadium is already being built. It is also expected that the Rams home in 2016 will be the Coliseum where the current USC Trojans play. The Rams have played games at the Coliseum before.
As for the Oakland Raiders they have actually withdrawn from the Los Angeles relocation, as the Rams and Chargers looks to have gotten approval. There is no official word on what the Chargers will do, but the Rams are returning home to Los Angeles.
There is still plenty to come for the Rams, Chargers and Raiders as here at Ramblin’ fan we will bring every news to come from the NFL Los Angeles relocation.
