The Los Angeles Rams have been a name that has been thrown around anytime when a quarterback rumor goes around, however let’s take some time to forget about the whole quarterback situation and think well who’s going to be catching passes for the Rams next season?

Yes it is important to fix the whole quarterback situation, but once the Rams do find their quarterback, who is going to be the number one wide receiver? That is where a name of Brian Quick will quickly emerge and become a top receiver for the Los Angeles Rams. Yes I’m talking about Brian Quick who would total 102 receiving yards on 10 catches last season to become the Rams secret weapon next season in LA.

First, let’s get this straight, the Rams had one of the worst offensives in the league, which made sense that the passing game was nowhere to be found. Fun Fact: Julio Jones of the Atlanta Falcons had more receiving yards last season than the entire St. Louis Rams offense had. That is the most embarrassing stat of the Rams passing game last season.

After Nick Foles fell off the boat, Case Keenum took charge, but it was all aboard the Todd Gurley train as that was the only play call the Rams used the last couple of weeks. With starting for the Rams, Keenum never completed more than 15 completions until the final regular season game against the 49ers. However, Case Keenum still has not been given the green light to run the offense. Maybe he too needs a chance as well. Was a stud at the University of Houston.

However with a passing game, wide receiver Brian Quick can show off his talents. Before getting hurt in the 7th game of the 2014 season, Brian Quick totaled 375 yards, 3 Touchdowns on 39 targets. Quick produced those numbers in seven games before he suffered a shoulder injury that would sit him out the rest of 2014 season. Let’s say Quick did not get hurt, he was projected to have at least over 800 yards receiving along with 7 touchdowns on over 85 targets.

In 2015 Quick was only targeted only 32 times, but two seasons ago, he was targeted 39 times in just seven short games. Clearly Quick just needs a chance in the NFL, and the Rams must do everything in their power to re-sign the 2nd round pick out of Appalachian State. Also in 2015 he was still recovering from his shoulder injury, as Coach Fisher never really wanted to test his shoulder out. Quick mostly watched from the sidelines and was not apart of the Rams offense last season.

Quick has a lot of upside to him, and the Rams are going to need more receivers than just Tavon Austin and Kenny Britt. The Los Angeles Rams must re-sign Brian Quick to a new deal that will give him a chance to evolve at his position. He could be the Rams secret weapon on offense next season if he stays healthy and the Rams have a passing game once again.
