Janoris Jenkins and Rodney McLeod both thank the Rams organization

The Los Angeles Rams had a very strong priority of bringing back their secondary, yet they were unable to bring back them all. The Rams lost both cornerback Janoris Jenkins and safety Rodney McLeod to free agency. Jenkins and McLeod will both be playing in the NFC East next season as they locked in some pretty expensive deals.

More from Rams News

Early Wednesday morning Janoris Jenkins did not waste anytime for him to find a new team. Adam Schefter reported that the Rams cornerback was poised to join the New York Giants, and that is exactly what he did. Early reports came out a couple of weeks ago of the Rams possibly using the franchise tag on Janoris Jenkins, but instead used it on other CB Trumaine Johnson.

Jenkins got an offer from the Los Angeles Rams organization, but instead took it as a joke and laughed at it. Jenkins basically laughed at the Rams offer of $9 million a year, fired his agent and got the money he wanted. Congratulations to Jenkins who is now the 2nd highest paid cornerback in the National Football League.

Jenkins deal with the Giants is 5 years, $62.5 million including $29 million guaranteed in the first two years. $40 million total in first three years in N.Y. Jenkins however took time today, to thank the rams organization who gave him the start in the NFL. “I want to thank the city of St. Louis for giving me incredible love the past four years…”

Thank you Janoris Jenkins for the great years with the St. Louis Rams.

Besides Jenkins leaving the Rams, safety Rodney McLeod would also say his thank you’s as he found a new team. With Jenkins on the Giants, he will be facing his old teammate twice a year as McLeod is now an Eagle. Former Rams S Rodney McLeod will go to the Eagles on a 5-year, $37 million deal that includes $17 guaranteed.

Clearly the Rams lost some good players today, but they were classy and gave thanks to the organization, and fans. McLeod took to social media and said his finally thank you to the Rams organization.

“THANK YOU to the #Rams organization, fans and the city of St. Louis for all the support these past 4 years. Much Love! ”

Thank you Rodney McLeod for the great years with the St. Louis Rams. Remember when they were a package deal? Sucks to see two of them leave.
