Round 1 – Pick 1

JARED GOFF – QB – Cal

With the first pick in the 2016 NFL Draft, the Los Angeles Rams select…Jared Goff, quarterback, University of California.

At this point it’s almost a given. There is really a 99% chance that the Rams take Goff on Thursday night and for good reason. Multiple reporters have said it and the ones that originally had the Rams taking Wentz, not have them taking Goff. He has the accuracy, the footwork, the poise, and the confidence to be a solid NFL quarterback and the face of the Rams franchise.

There are question marks about Goff specifically about his frame as well as the fact that he played in the air-raid offense at Cal. He may not have the upside that Wentz has, but he is the more pro-ready. For a team that wants to win now, like the Rams, Goff is the guy.
