Influence of Korey Stringer

Former Ohio State star Korey Stringer unfortunately passed away in 2001 due to complications of heat stroke during training camp with the Minnesota Vikings. Pace took some time to recognize Stringer during his speech and the impact he made on his football career.

Stringer was one of the main reasons why Pace attended Ohio State as the two were lucky enough to play together from 1993-94. The fact that Pace and Stringer were teammates for two seasons just shows how dominant of an offensive line the Buckeyes had at one point during the 90’s and playing with Korey will be something Orlando remembers for the rest of his life.

To see two products of Ohio attend Ohio State at one point together before making it to the big leagues of the NFL is truly amazing and Stringer’s family had to love seeing Pace honor his beloved college teammate during such an incredible moment.
