On the latest episode of Hard Knocks with the Los Angeles Rams, Jeff Fisher discussed his frustrations over running back Todd Gurley getting tackled in practice and how he ended up on the ground.

Fisher realizes the importance of Gurley heading into his second season with the Rams and made it clear he wants his running back treated like a quarterback by defenders in practice. Apparently, Gurley must have missed Fisher’s speech from this week’s episode after putting himself at risk to injury on Wednesday.

After Fisher’s rant on Hard Knocks, one can only imagine what he’s going to have to say about this incident on next week’s episode as the last thing Los Angeles needs is to see Gurley suffer an injury over something foolish like this. Despite the team ranking near the bottom of the league in offense, Gurley was the one highlight of the team as a rookie and the only chance the Rams are going to have at competing this year is if he remains healthy.

Sadly, football gets heated from time to time and it’s common to see fights like these happen in practice, but this is absolutely unacceptable. Hopefully, this is the last time fans have to hear about Gurley or any other member of the Rams being part of something like this in practice.
