31. San Francisco 49ers 1-5 (31)

The good news for the San Francisco 49ers is Colin Kaepernick played well enough to at least secure his job for one more week. The bad news for the 49ers is the under-thrown touchdown from Kaepernick to Torrey Smith ended up being the lone trip to the end zone for this team against the Buffalo Bills.

With the loss, San Francisco has now lost five-straight games since their Week 1 win against the Los Angeles Rams. Sunday’s game also marked the fourth-straight game where the 49ers failed to score more than 21 points, as lack of offense has been an issue for Chip Kelly‘s squad all season.

It’s never a good sign when a team’s quarterback finishes as the leader in both passing and rushing yards, but that was exactly the case with Kaepernick. Unless this team figures out a way to turn things around soon, the 49ers may find themselves out of contention for the playoffs in the NFC before even hitting the halfway mark of the regular season.

Even if the expectations were low to begin with at the beginning of the season, there’s just no excitement surrounding San Francisco’s offense, and it doesn’t look like that’s going to change anytime soon.
