Los Angeles Rams quarterback Jared Goff said he felt more comfortable in his second career start against the New Orleans Saints in Week 12.

Los Angeles Rams rookie and No. 1 overall pick Jared Goff showed some flashes of brilliance in the first half versus the New Orleans Saints in Week 12.

Goff tossed three touchdowns and threw for 167 yards, with a great QB rating of 126.4. Goff’s best pass of the day was a dime to wide receiver Tavon Austin, which was also his first career score.

Unfortunately for Goff and the Rams, the rookie was only able to muster up another 47 yards in the second half and failed to get into the end zone.

While it was a disappointing ending to such a promising start against the Saints, Goff certainly looked more comfortable and admitted so after the game, per Alden Gonzalez of ESPN:

"“I don’t think there’s any moral victories. I obviously felt a lot more comfortable in my second game; just my experience. I felt better out there. I was able to see it a lot better and was able to slow it down a little bit. But at the same time, I want to win.”"

Despite the Rams defense getting its rear-end handed to it, Goff was able to do something positive by scoring more points in one quarter than the Rams offense was averaging per game over the last four games.

Some of the throws Goff made in Week 12 were impressive and it makes you realize why he’s finally starting over Case Keenum. He just has to survive the rest of this season behind an offensive line that can’t protect him sufficiently.
