NFL analyst and former safety John Lynch took a shot at the New England Patriots during their game with the Los Angeles Rams in Week 13.

Jared Goff’s gloves were a boring topic of discussion during the Los Angeles Rams’ Week 13 game against the New England Patriots, but it did bring an interesting comment out of NFL on FOX analyst John Lynch.

The former Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Denver Broncos safety was talking about the No. 1 overall pick wearing two gloves on Sunday because of cold conditions when he cracked a joke at the Pats’ expense.

Here’s Lynch’s comment, which was obviously a reference to the Deflategate scandal involving quarterback Tom Brady:

Burn! Pure savage, Mr. Lynch.

Granted, it wasn’t exactly an original idea, but it was still funny to hear on a live NFL broadcast.

Some fans didn’t take too kindly to the joke, though:

Gloves or not, Goff and the Rams were totally overmatched by the Patriots. The rookie quarterback completed less than 50 percent of his passes and the offense as a whole totaled 162 yards.

For the record, no air was released in the prepping of those footballs – at least not to our knowledge.
