Los Angeles Rams TE Lance Kendricks Falls One-Yard Short of $250K Bonus
By Dan Parzych
Lance Kendricks has to be kicking himself after the Los Angeles Rams tight end fell just short of a hefty $250K bonus.
The Los Angeles Rams took a step back in 2016 after finishing the year with a 4-12 record, mainly due to the fact their offense averaged just 14 points per game. One of the main reasons behind the struggles of the Rams’ offense was due to a weak receiving corps, and when taking a closer look at the numbers, it’s easy to argue that no player is more frustrated than tight end Lance Kendricks.

Turns out, Kendricks fell one-yard shy of receiving a hefty $250K bonus after recording just 499 receiving yards during the 2016 season. One of the incentives in Kendricks’ contracts stated he would receive the bonus if he finished with at least 500 yards, which has to be a tough pill to swallow for the tight end.
Kendricks can be frustrated over the quarterback situation Los Angeles dealt with all season between Case Keenum and Jared Goff, but at the end of the day, he can only blame himself for falling short of earning this bonus. It’s not like Kendricks wasn’t targeted enough throughout the 2016 season when considering he caught 50 of 87 targets, which were career highs for the Rams tight end.
Still, only falling one-yard short of a bonus like that is the icing on the cake for Kendricks on what turned out to be a year to forget during the team’s return to Los Angeles.
