13. Arizona Cardinals

When it comes to the most disappointing teams from the 2016 season, the Arizona Cardinals rank near the top of the list after failing to make the playoffs one year after reaching the NFC Championship. In fact, when looking at all of the talent on both sides of the football this year seemed to be the team’s best shot at reaching the Super Bowl since Carson Palmer and Larry Fitzgerald aren’t getting younger anytime soon.

Instead, Arizona failed to overcome a 3-4-1 start, and turned out to be one of the most consistent teams in the NFL after looking like an amazing team one week, only to look terrible the next. The sad thing is when seeing how the Seattle Seahawks didn’t look like the dominant team from year’s past, the Cardinals missed out on a major opportunity to make a run at the division.

Unfortunately, there’s nothing they can do now other than focus on the offseason in which they may have to make a decision on Palmer’s future. As previously mentioned, Palmer isn’t getting any younger, and with the chance to snag a young quarterback to build the franchise around, it will be interesting to see what Arizona decides to do once the draft rolls around.
