4. Jacksonville Jaguars

Now that Gus Bradley is officially out of the picture after the head coach was fired before the regular season came to an end, the next task for the Jacksonville Jaguars in the offseason becomes what to do with Blake Bortles at quarterback. Expectations were high for Bortles heading into the 2016 season after throwing 35 touchdowns during the previous year, but the former first-round pick failed to live up to the hype.

Instead of taking advantage of all the weapons in the passing game, Bortles struggled to get the offense going as they finished near the bottom of the league. The struggles on offense were one of the main reasons why Jacksonville finished with only three wins in 2016, and whoever ends up being the next head coach for this team, they will certainly have a big decision to make when it comes to the future of Bortles.

As bad as it sounds, it wouldn’t be a surprise if the new coach decided Bortles wasn’t the best option for the team when seeing how much of a step back the quarterback took in 2016. When looking at the effective weapons Bortles had to work with in his third season, there was no reason for the offense to struggle the way they did this year, and when that happens, the quarterback is going to be the first one people point at to blame.
