5. Tennessee Titans (via Los Angeles Rams)

When the Los Angeles Rams agreed to complete a trade with the Tennessee Titans in order to move up in the 2016 NFL Draft, the intention was Jared Goff would be the answer to help this team take the necessary step in the right direction after finishing 7-9 the previous year. Unfortunately, that was far from the case after the Rams took a major step back this season after finishing with only four wins.

However, the struggles of Los Angeles worked out well for Tennessee as they were fortunate enough to now have the fifth overall pick in this year’s draft on top of their current selection at No. 18. For a team that fell just short of winning the AFC South, this puts the Titans in great position to be strong contenders once again heading into the 2017 season.

Along with an improved running game, one of the main reasons behind Tennessee’s success this past season was due to the maturity of Marcus Mariota. With that being said, the Titans still need to spend the offseason bringing in another reliable weapon for their beloved quarterback in the passing game.

Whether that player comes through the draft, only time will tell for Tennessee.
