Take a look at where the Los Angeles Rams currently stand in the 2017 NFL Power Rankings now that free agency is officially underway.
The Los Angeles Rams may currently sit in the bottom half of the 2017 NFL Power Rankings after finishing with a 4-12 record last year, but thanks to a few key signings in free agency, things are beginning to look up for Sean McVay‘s squad. Even if they still have plenty of areas in need of improvement, at least the Rams are taking the proper steps in the right direction.
Last season was obvious how much of an issue the offensive line was after seeing the constant pressure Jared Goff was seeing at quarterback. Now that Andrew Whitworth is officially on board after signing a three-year deal, the veteran will hopefully have an immediate impact to help make life easier for the second-year quarterback with better protection.

As for one of the other weaknesses for Los Angeles, Robert Woods may not have been the top choice since he’s never even broke the 700-yard mark in his career, but the potential seems to be there for the former USC standout. Goff has been looking for a reliable wide receiver to establish a strong connection with, and maybe Woods could end up being that guy after the Rams decided to sign him for the next five years.
When taking all of this into consideration, it’s fair to say the Rams have been taking the necessary steps to make sure they improve from last year’s disappointing finish by already addressing two of their biggest needs. Let’s not waste any more time and see how much these key signings helped Los Angeles in the latest edition of the 2017 NFL Power Rankings.
