31. New York Jets

One year after falling just short of reaching the playoffs, the New York Jets took a major step back in 2016 after only winning five games thanks to dealing with plenty of issues at quarterback. At this time last year, the Jets were in a similar situation when it comes to trying to figure out what to do at quarterback, but at least the team entered free agency knowing they would no longer have to worry about Ryan Fitzpatrick.

Last offseason, Fitzpatrick was doing everything in his power to earn a long-term deal from New York, but luckily the organization didn’t give in to the veteran quarterback, and settled for a one-year deal instead. Now that Fitzpatrick is officially out of the picture, the Jets have a big decision to make moving forward by once again trying to figure out who will be the team’s starter heading into Week 1.

Then again, no matter who the team decides to place under center, it still doesn’t take away from the fact that New York also needs help at wide receiver now that Brandon Marshall is a member of the New York Giants. Obviously, the decision to move on from key players like Marshall and Nick Mangold was a clear sign this team is looking for a fresh start in the rebuilding process, but early signs point to a rough next year or two for the Jets.
