Depending on which players are available at the time of the pick, the one name to keep an eye on at No. 37 is wide receiver Zay Jones out of East Carolina. Despite spending his college days at a smaller Division I school, the numbers alone by Jones during his final two seasons with the Pirates proves he’s ready to make the leap by making an impact at the NFL level.

The fact that Jones caught 256 passes for 2,845 yards with 13 trips into the end zone over the last two years is the perfect example of why someone like Jared Goff would benefit from having him in the passing game. Based off his accomplishments in college, Jones seems to be the type of player that gets better with experience, meaning a selection like this at No. 37 could potentially work wonders for Los Angeles when it comes to building an offense for the future.
Not to mention, Jones having an offensive mastermind of a head coach like Sean McVay could help the wideout elevate his game to a whole new level. With four teams ahead of the Rams in the second round, there’s a good chance the team is going to be in position to bring a wideout like Jones or JuJu Smith-Schuster to help provide a boost to the passing game. And if that player does happen to be Jones, it should help the Goff’s development process even more heading into next season.
