After a trade with the Chicago Bears, the Los Angeles Rams used their first pick in the fourth round on Texas A&M star wide receiver Josh Reynolds.

Before the 2017 NFL Draft officially got underway, one of the wide receivers that seemed to be a good fit for the Los Angeles Rams was Josh Reynolds out of Texas A&M. For a team that was desperately searching for help in the passing game, the Rams were hoping to use this year’s draft to provide Jared Goff with more weapons in the passing game, and luckily they were able to land Reynolds in the middle of the fourth round.

Following a trade with the Chicago Bears, Los Angeles selected a little later in the fourth round than originally expected, and used the 110th pick to select the former Aggies standout. For a player that has been considered an underdog his entire career after deciding to attend junior college due to lack of interest from big-name schools, the Rams hope to see Reynolds continue that success at the NFL level by making a splash in the passing game.

Dropping key passes may still be an issue, but Reynolds seems like the big-play receiver Los Angeles was hoping to land in this year’s draft, and Goff has every reason in the world to be excited over this latest addition. When looking at the numbers displayed by Reynolds over the last three seasons (164 catches for 2,788 yards with 30 touchdowns) at Texas A&M, don’t be surprised if Reynolds wastes no time making an impact to help improve a Rams’ offense that only averaged 14 points per game in 2016.

With the additions of Reynolds, Cooper, Kupp, and Gerald Everett, give Los Angeles credit for addressing their most important need in the draft of building the offense around Goff. All of a sudden, the Rams’ offense is giving fans plenty of reasons to be excited about what’s in store for the future.
