1. Todd Gurley

Last season, Todd Gurley was one of the biggest disappointments from a fantasy football perspective after failing to record a single 100-yard game for the Los Angeles Rams, but it wasn’t entirely the running back’s fault. Between a poor offensive line to the Rams trailing in most games, Gurley wasn’t necessary in the best position to produce in the ground game during his sophomore campaign.

This time around, Gurley is already showing signs of his rookie self with the impact he’s made for Los Angeles on offense in two games, both as a running back and receiver. Not only does Gurley already have 232 yards from the line of scrimmage heading into Week 3, but the former first-round pick has already worked his way into the end zone a total of three times.

Once again, there’s a good chance Gurley will receive a heavy workload to help the Rams avoid what happened last year in which the team lost both meetings to the 49ers, which coincidentally happened to be the only two wins under Chip Kelly. And if Los Angeles is able to pull off the victory against their division rivals, don’t be surprised if Gurley ends up being one of the main reasons why.
