Not so long ago, a trip to Jacksonville was more often than not a win. Not so in 2017. How legitimate the Jags are, or the Rams for that matter, is a work still in progress.

All things being equal, and with two losses this season, you don’t get the sense that this Los Angeles team is on the verge of teetering. At this same time last season, you never really had that comfortable feeling that the Rams simply played a bad game.

To date, Jared Goff is getting ready to play his 13th game of his NFL career.

13 games.

Even after last week, you can’t find even the most cynical of NFL watchers who will say he’s hit his ceiling.

But now, Goff and the Los Angeles offense have got to keep showing promise and progress. Jacksonville won’t offer a pass of any kind, so for the Rams to win on Sunday, Sean McVay has to have a more inclusive offensive game plan that looks for and finds Sammy Watkins.

Same for Todd Gurley.

And the end zone.

The Los Angeles Rams have GOT to start finding the end zone again. As solid as Greg Zuerlein has been, he needs to be their second scoring option, not the first.

Jacksonville will give LA all they can handle.
