With the Seahawks winning in San Francisco 24-13, Seattle keeps the pressure on the Los Angeles Rams to continue winning if they want a shot at a division crown.
If the Los Angeles Rams were hoping for a winning effort from the San Francisco 49ers against their leading NFC West foe, the Seattle Seahawks, they didn’t get it.

As a matter of fact, the Niners looked like a team doing everything they could to secure a draft pick, not win a divisional game. If not for the last few plays yesterday, it’s a wide open guess when or if the fans in San Francisco would ever see quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo.
So bottom line, the Rams will be in an absolute dogfight as the calendar changes from November to December for the NFC West.
However…,
In the Seahawks 24-13 nonchalant win in Santa Clara, it’s hard to take away that sense of awe that typically accompanied a Seattle victory. While the Niners were playing for the NFL Draft, Russell Wilson and his team looked more and more like a team working their way back to the pack of the division, versus a contender for anything more than a possible Wild Card.

That said, LA shouldn’t count on an easy path to an NFC West crown. They will play Arizona in Week 13, Seattle in Week 15, and the 49ers in Week 17 to wrap up the NFL season and maybe a division title.
Maybe.
The Los Angeles Rams got zero help from San Francisco yesterday, and frankly, shouldn’t count on anyone but themselves to climb the mountain in the West. Until LA knocks out the king, it’s still the Seahawks at the top.
Just probably not for long.
