The Los Angeles Rams lose a close game to NFC East division winner Philadelphia 43-35, on a day where the game was as good as advertised.

Fox NFL had the Philadelphia Eagles at Los Angeles Rams as their Game of the Week, and for 60 minutes, it didn’t disappoint. The feature of quarterbacks Jared Goff against Carson Wentz was solid, despite Wentz exiting in the fourth quarter with a knee injury, and being replaced by one time Rams QB, Nick Foles. Foles, in relief, would attempt 10 passes completing 6 of them, for 42 yards.

Bottom line, and assuming Wentz is ultimately ok, these two franchises might become the kind of signature teams that the league will benefit from for seasons to come, as both second year quarterbacks showed why they were 1-2 in the 2016 NFL Draft.

As for Week 14, the Rams would lose to the best team in the NFC, 43-35.

Wentz had an MVP worthy performance, going 23 of 41 for 291 yards, 4 touchdowns and 1 interception. The win would clinch the NFC East for Philadelphia, as they now head home to face the New York Giants.

As for Goff, it was another solid outing, despite a critical three and out to wrap-up the Rams day on offense. Overall, the second year quarterback would throw for 199 yards on 16 of 26, and two touchdowns. He’d cough up one costly fumble late in the game that would help decide if for the Eagles.

Rams running back Todd Gurley has an exceptional day, rushing 13 times for 96 yards, and two touchdowns. He’s also have 3 receptions for 39 yards. That’s two games where Gurley was remarkably productive for Los Angeles.

LA moves to 9-4 on the 2017 season, with a big game next week against NFC West rival and current standard bearer in the division, Seattle Seahawks, who lost earlier in the day 30-24 to the Jacksonville Jaguars.
