Rams alum Eric Dickerson still no Fisher fan, but really who is?
By Steve Rivera
Former Los Angeles Rams running back and Hall of Famer Eric Dickerson called out the former coach for recent statements, and is correct for doing so.
It was certainly awkward last season when former Los Angeles Rams great and running back Eric Dickerson got into a public feud with then coach Jeff Fisher. So much so, that the Hall of Famer went out of his way to air his case to the media and boycotted the team.
Know that E.D. got the last laugh, and still is.
In an interview with TMZ Sports, he was quick to knockdown the assertions of Fisher who claims some credit for the success of the current edition of the Rams, as he looks to find a way back to the NFL sidelines as a head coach somewhere.
Dickerson isn’t having any of it.
"“Do I think he left the team in a good spot? No I do not. Personally I don’t. I don’t think he helped [quarterback] Jared Goff at all, I don’t think he helped [running back] Todd Gurley at all. I don’t think he helped the offense at all.”"
He is correct in his assessment.
The comments from the former Rams coach who was unceremoniously dumped last December, have landed with a loud thud in NFL circles, as well they should have. First year head coach Sean McVay is the man responsible for the turnaround in LA, and trust that Fisher’s fingerprints aren’t anywhere to be found.

No one, especially Dickerson, will forget that in five torturous seasons, the Rams finished below .500 every year, going an unremarkable 31-45-1. Whereas in the span of 15 games and an 11-4 record, McVay has an offense where running back Todd Gurley is a leading MVP candidate, second year quarterback Jared Goff no longer resembles a dumpster fire, and Los Angeles has at least one date in the playoffs when the regular season ends.
That’s all McVay with no Fisher in sight.
Dickerson merely pointed out the obvious.
