Los Angeles Rams fans will certainly enjoy this awesome banner Andrew Whitworth came home to after winning the NFC West title.

From the hiring of Sean McVay as the youngest head coach in NFL history to building a better offense around Jared Goff, it looks like all of those big decisions made by the Los Angeles Rams in the offseason have certainly paid off in 2017 after recently clinching the NFC West title. However, as great as all of these key moves were for the NFC West champions, the argument can be made that no decision was bigger than the signing of Andrew Whitworth in free agency.

After spending the first 11 years of his career as a member of the Cincinnati Bengals, it was quite the surprise to see a veteran like Whitworth be willing to join a team like the Rams in the offseason. With Los Angeles coming off a four-win season, most players like Whitworth would seem more concerned over joining a serious contender to provide them with a better chance of earning a trip to the Super Bowl, but turns out this was the best decision the offensive tackle could have made.

Clearly, Whitworth seemed confident enough in what McVay was selling in free agency when seeing how risky of a move this was, and without him, there’s a good chance the Rams wouldn’t be sitting at 11-4 with the division locked up heading into Sunday’s regular-season finale against the San Francisco 49ers. And while there was plenty of celebrating going on in the Los Angeles locker room last weekend after defeating the Tennessee Titans, it’s safe to say Whitworth’s favorite moment of the celebration came from his family after seeing what his wife, Melissa, posted on Twitter last weekend.

First off, give credit to Melissa for the reference about how her husband is never too old to run through a banner, because that’s absolutely right and hysterical to think about. Second, Rams fans loved seeing this since Whitworth has quickly become a fan favorite when looking at how much the offensive line has changed in a good way after all of the struggles from a year ago.

If it wasn’t for the signing of Whitworth, there’s no telling if Goff would have been able to make the giant leap at quarterback or if Todd Gurley would be in the running for MVP at the moment. So when seeing this awesome banner on display for Whitworth after Los Angeles clinched the NFC West title last weekend, the veteran 100 percent deserved this surprise to come home to.
