One year after being one of the laughing stocks of the NFL for failing to earn a trip to the playoffs despite a 5-0 start, the Minnesota Vikings deserve plenty of credit for the season they’ve put together after winning the NFC North title over the Green Bay Packers and Detroit Lions. Even when Sam Bradford went down with a knee injury that turned out to be more serious than expected, the Vikings thrived with Case Keenum under center, and could end up being the first team in NFL history to play in their own stadium for the Super Bowl.
Even if that does end up happening, Minnesota will be in good shape for years to come when looking at all of the talent Mike Zimmer is fortunate enough to work with on both sides of the football, especially on defense. With that being said, every defense still has their weaknesses, and when it comes to the offseason, the Vikings may look to upgrade at defensive end, which is where Arden Key comes into the picture.
The LSU star has been showing signs of potential dating back to his freshman season, and when taking into consideration that he seems to get better with each year of experience, any NFL team would be lucky to have him. Minnesota may have one of the top defensive units in the NFL, but adding someone like Key could help them become even more dangerous.
