With all of the talk surrounding LeBron James opting out of his contract with the Cleveland Cavaliers, the Los Angeles Rams decided to get involved on the action.

One of the best things about the Los Angeles Rams being in the same city as a few other professional sports teams is watching them all show support for one another, which the team decided to do on Friday to chime in on LeBron James.

In the morning, James made the announcement all sports fans were waiting to hear after making the announcement that he would be opting out of his contract with the Cleveland Cavaliers for the 2018-19 season, meaning the superstar is now an unrestricted free agent.

Even more exciting, this means the Los Angeles Lakers have a legitimate chance of signing James, that is assuming he is willing to leave the Cavaliers for a second time in his career.

At this stage in his career, James wants to be part of a strong contender with the best chance of overtaking the Golden State Warriors since the current champions aren’t going away anytime soon. And even though the Lakers failed to make the playoffs this past season, a player like James could lure other big names in free agency, such as Paul George or Kawhi Leonard.

As for the Rams, while there isn’t much the team can actually do to convince James to come to Los Angeles, whoever runs the team’s social media account certainly deserves credit for making their best online pitch.

Back in 2016, James actually attended the home opener for the Rams against the Seattle Seahawks, which coincidentally happened to be their first regular season game back in Los Angeles after making the move from St. Louis.

Technically, James isn’t a Rams fan, but when seeing how big of a deal this was at the time, the superstar clearly wanted to be in on the action since the city of Los Angeles had been waiting a long time for another football team.

On another note, if James did in fact end up coming to Los Angeles to play for the Lakers, chances are this would mean he would be attending a few football games in the fall. And if the Rams live up to the Super Bowl hype, maybe James can even attend a few playoff games as well.
