2. Brandin Cooks

Forget all of the concerns surrounding Cooks, and whether the Rams being his third team in three seasons was a reason to worry, as acquiring the speedster is turning out to be one of the best decisions from this team during the offseason. Not to mention, nobody is questioning the decision anymore over whether the Rams made a mistake rewarding Cooks with that hefty extension before even taking a single snap on offense since they’re beyond thrilled to see he’s going to be around for the long run.

Losing Watkins in free agency seemed like a crushing blow at first since the Rams originally hoped to keep him around for the long run, but this obviously worked out even better with Cooks. In fact, it’s only been two games, but plenty of Rams will agree that the team easily received a major upgrade at the position with Cooks replacing Watkins as the top speedy target for Goff to work with.

Over time, Cooks will find the end zone for the first time as a member of the Rams, and seeing him haul in seven catches for 159 yards in Week 2 shows just how much Goff is taking advantage of his presence already. Against the Chargers, there’s every reason to believe this will be the case as well.
