3. Defense stepped up

The fact that Los Angeles allowed Chicago to score just 15 points during Sunday’s contest, and they still ended up losing the game shows how rough of a night this truly was for McVay’s squad.

Then again, when seeing some of the struggles behind the defense of the Rams in recent weeks, this could arguably be viewed as a win, if they’re looking for a positive angle to the whole thing.

Despite the Rams having a stacked defensive line consisting of players like Aaron Donald and Ndamukong Suh, the defense in general has gone through some struggles throughout the 2018 season, especially when it comes to allowing opponents to score with ease.

Whether it was allowing the Seattle Seahawks to put up 31 points twice or simply that win over the Kansas City Chiefs in which they finished with 51 points, it’s easy to see why the defense has been a concern for the Rams at times.

At least with Sunday’s performance against the Bears that consisted of the unit allowing just 15 points to go along with the three interceptions on Mitch Trubisky, this can be viewed as improvement heading into Week 15.

As great as the offense has been for Los Angeles, even they know the defense will need to be on top of their game come playoff time to give them a better of chance at making a Super Bowl run.
