1. Anderson has playoff experience

Whether the Rams want to admit it or not, last January made it clear just how inexperienced of a team they were playoff wise, which is part of the reason McVay’s team ended up falling to the Atlanta Falcons right away.

This time around, the circumstances for Los Angeles will be much different since they will hopefully use what happened last January as a learning experience to make sure it doesn’t happen again.

While players like Goff and Gurley will benefit from having some experience under their belt, the addition of Anderson will come up big in this department when looking at how he has a Super Bowl to his resume from a few years ago when he was with the Denver Broncos.

Defense was a main factor behind the success of the Broncos during that epic run, but also it should be noted that Anderson finished with 100 yards from scrimmage in that game to help take down the Carolina Panthers to go along with a key touchdown late in the game.

Knowing this, it’s safe to assume Anderson’s playoff experience was part of the reasoning behind the decision of the Rams to bring him on board heading into Week 16. Come January, Anderson could end up playing a key, surprise role on offense for Los Angeles whenever Gurley finds himself in need of a break from the action to give them a better chance of making a serious run.
