1. Fewer concerns about overworking Gurley

Watching Gurley practice throughout the week has been a huge sign of relief for the Rams since one can only imagine if they got all the way here in the postseason, only to have to face the Cowboys without their star running back.

Dating back to last season, Gurley has proven to be a touchdown machine for Los Angeles, and as great as Anderson played in the final two weeks of the regular season, the Rams know deep down Gurley will play a key role in Saturday’s battle with Dallas.

For obvious reasons, the Rams made the decision to rest Gurley when they did to make sure the knee injury didn’t become worse, and put him at risk to miss the playoffs.

When looking at the confidence this Cowboys teams is playing with at the moment, this will be one of those games in which the Rams need all of the help they can get on offense just to put up points, especially from Gurley.

At least with Anderson now part of the picture, Los Angeles can feel at ease over not having to worry as much about overworking Gurley on offense since he hasn’t played in a few weeks. Because if all goes according to plan Saturday night, Gurley may become even more important for the following weekend if they happen to earn a trip to the NFC Championship.
