2. McVay earns first playoff win, makes history

Entering Saturday’s game, the pressure was on Sean McVay to earn his first career playoff win with the Rams when seeing how things played out last season when they were eliminated right away by the Falcons.

When looking at the expectations surrounding Los Angeles in the offseason, McVay watching his record drop to 0-2 in the playoffs would have resulted in all sorts of criticism from now until the start of training camp.

Thanks to Saturday’s win over the Cowboys, this is a non-issue for McVay and the Rams since the head coach no longer has to worry about this unnecessary pressure of the first win moving forward.

Not to mention, McVay has now earned a spot in the history books by becoming the youngest head coach to win a playoff game (32), replacing John Madden (33).

To think about some of the questions Los Angeles received back in 2017 when they made the decision to make McVay the youngest head coach in NFL history seems laughable now when looking at how quickly he’s made the Rams a serious contender in the NFC.

Hopefully, win No. 2 for McVay will occur next Sunday during the NFC Championship, whether it happens to be against the New Orleans Saints or Philadelphia Eagles.
