3 reasons a Super Bowl 53 win could put Rams in potential dynasty conversation
By Dan Parzych
1. Rams built to contend for years
In 2017, the Rams signed Robert Woods in free agency before selecting Cooper Kupp and Josh Reynolds in the draft.
Prior to this season, Los Angeles made the decision to reward Brandin Cooks, Aaron Donald, and Todd Gurley with hefty extensions to address the situation when they did to avoid having to worry about it down the road.
With Goff’s time for a new deal expected to come sooner rather than later, it’s absolutely terrifying to think about how all of these players are going to be under contract with the Rams for years to come.
Even if Los Angeles ended up losing a few key players like Ndamukong Suh in the offseason, this team is still built enough where other players would seem capable of stepping up to make sure they remain a serious contender in the NFC.
It was thing for the Rams to take the win-now approach last offseason to put the team in the best position possible to live up to the Super Bowl hype, but they deserve even more credit for some of these other moves that will keep them in the conversation of serious contenders moving forward.
With all of this in mind, Los Angeles may not be able to avoid the dynasty talk if they come through with a win over the Patriots in Super Bowl 53, which obviously isn’t the worst thing in the world.
