4. Dominique Easley

Speaking of former first-round picks, the Patriots released Dominique Easley in April 2016, as many described this decision as a move that came as quite a surprise since he was only with the team for two seasons.

Of course, the Rams certainly weren’t upset over this decision since Easley’s release led to the team taking a chance on the defensive tackle by signing him to a one-year deal.

After watching Easley record 3.5 sacks during the 2016 season, Los Angeles decided it was worth placing a first-round tender on the former Florida star the following year, although it was devastating to watch him suffer a torn ACL in training camp.

Unfortunately, the Rams were hit with another tough break this past season after deciding to give Easley another chance before a knee injury limited him to appearing in just three games, leaving the team with another tough decision over whether he would be worth another risk.

The good news for Los Angeles, as bad as it sounds, is due to his history of injuries, Easley may not have a choice over taking a cheaper deal to prove he can stay healthy. With this in mind, the Rams may be more open to giving Easley another shot in 2019.
