Top 8 players Los Angeles Rams could potentially re-sign during 2019 free agency

3. LaMarcus Joyner
Rightfully so, the Rams made the right decision last offseason when deciding to use LaMarcus Joyner over Sammy Watkins with the franchise tag since they were in better shape to replace the speedy wideout, which turned out work out quite well after the team acquired Brandin Cooks.
While the first three years of Joyner’s career were impressive, the safety made a major leap during the 2017 season, and even watched his stock rise at the position, meaning the fear of Joyner signing with another team in free agency was high.
After using the franchise tag on Joyner, the Rams knew it was only a matter of time before they would have to address his contract situation again. And while Joyner certainly made a strong case at times to be worthy of a new contract, how much he will be looking for in his next deal could become an issue for Los Angeles.
At least if the Rams do end up moving on from Joyner, this year’s draft class will have plenty of replacements worth considering. However, before jumping that far ahead, let’s see how things play out with Los Angeles and Joyner first since this is going to be one of the top positions worth keeping an eye on.
